Here are two manicures I did a while back. The chevron one was fun and really simple to do!
Both these manicures have the same base colour: OPI’s Don’t Pretzel My Buttons. It’s my current favourite nude that goes best with my skin.
For the chevron manicure I chose OPI’s Not Like The Movies for the accent, because it is still one of my favourite chrome polishes. It’s sometimes grey sometimes purple or even green from certain angles! Doesn’t get prettier than that, really. Also, it goes on like a dream.
The size of the inner triangles took a while to get right so they’re a little uneven. It was my first attempt though, so I let it slide! Also apologies for the poor iphone quality photo.
The next manicure is one of my favourites I’ve done so far, which is surprising considering how little effort it took. Honestly, all there is to it is dragging the glitter towards the middle of the nail in a way you like.
I got A-England’s She Walks In Beauty in the same sale I bought ‘Elaine’ from, and it is now my favourite glitter. It looks absolutely gorgeous with so many colours. In this case, the pink glitters worked well with the nude and the gold was subtle enough with the silver glitter to not be too gaudy. The glitter photographs a lot more silver than it looks in reality, but it’s beautiful nonetheless. It makes for a really simple yet chic manicure! I got lots of compliments on this one. Just excuse the terrible condition of my cuticles.
